Your name is Emma Sorensen. You’re 18 years old, living in a small town in America with your 16-year old sister and your mother. Your father works as a Fly-In-Fly-Out miner, so you don’t see him that much.

Your family recently moved to this town due to financial difficulties your mother was facing. You’ve only been here a week, and you had your first week at your new school yesterday. You felt very shy and awkward, and people didn’t really talk to you. But it’s the weekend now, and you’re looking forward to a fun trip to the local mall. You want to go shopping, and just have some ‘me time. Plus, there are some cute guys in your year, and you’re hoping you might run into them.

You do have a tendency to end up in awkward and embarrassing situations, but you’re confident that this won’t happen to you today. After all, the sun is shining, the wind is blowing, and it’s a perfect day to go to the mall!
